Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 18, 2026. Clyde ("we", "us") provides an AI email assistant for freight brokers and carriers at clydeops.com and app.clydeops.com. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@clydeops.com.
What we collect
Account information: your name, work email address, and company name, collected when you create an account. Authentication is handled by our identity provider, Clerk.
Email data: when you connect a mailbox (Google Gmail or Microsoft Outlook), Clyde accesses email messages in that mailbox to classify freight-related email, draft replies, and send replies you approve. This includes message content, headers, attachments, and metadata.
Operational data: load, shipment, and carrier records you or your team add to Clyde or connect from your TMS, and logs of how your workspace uses the product.
How we use it
We use your data solely to provide the Clyde service to your workspace: reading incoming freight email, classifying it, drafting replies using your load data, flagging potential fraud, and sending replies that a person on your team has approved. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not use your email data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Fraud flagging works by comparing details from inbound email, such as the sender's domain and stated motor carrier identity, against public FMCSA carrier records. These checks use public government data and your own inbox; we do not buy or build profiles of individuals.
Cookies and analytics
The Clyde app uses essential cookies from our authentication provider, Clerk, to keep you signed in. Our marketing site uses Vercel Analytics, which reports aggregate, cookieless page statistics. We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site tracking on either.
Google API Limited Use disclosure
Clyde's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we only use Gmail data to provide user-facing features of Clyde, we do not transfer Gmail data except as necessary to provide those features or as required by law, we do not use Gmail data for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read your Gmail data except with your explicit permission, when required for security or legal reasons, or when the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
Subprocessors
Clyde runs on infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under their own security and confidentiality obligations: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Clerk (authentication), and AI model providers used to classify email and generate drafts under agreements that prohibit using your data for model training. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and mailbox access tokens are additionally encrypted at the application level.
Retention and deletion
We retain your data while your workspace is active. You can disconnect a mailbox at any time from Clyde's settings, which stops all access to that mailbox. You can also revoke Clyde's access directly from your Google or Microsoft account security settings. To delete your workspace and its data, email support@clydeops.com and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.
Your choices
You control which mailboxes are connected, and every AI-drafted reply requires human approval before it is sent unless your workspace administrator explicitly enables automatic sending for specific message types. You can request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at support@clydeops.com.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will notify workspace administrators by email before the change takes effect.
